From lawsuits and surgery to sharing a toilet bath with Bubbles the chimp, you couldn’t invent a story stranger than Michael Jackson’s.
The child superstar from humble beginnings became progressively more eccentric – an obsession with changing his appearance started in the ’80s, when his skin began to lighten.
He endured several rounds of plastic surgery, including nose jobs, cheekbone implants, tattooed eyeliner, a chin cleft and lip fillers that made him startlingly like his idol, Diana Ross.
It wasn’t until the 90’s that the star blamed skin condition, vitiligo, for his changed appearance.
Jackson denied tabloid reports that he bought the bones of the Elephant Man, and slept in a hyperbaric chamber.
“Why not tell people I’m an alien from Mars,” he despaired.
In 1988, Jackson built his famous Neverland Ranch, hosting regular parties with young friends, including Macaulay Culkin.
Jackson was accused of child abuse in 1993, but later cleared.
In 1994, he married Lisa Marie Presley, but the pair split in 1996, and he married Australian nurse Deborah Rowe.
Rowe had two children, Paris Katherine and Prince Michael, who were hidden from the public under face masks and scarfs.
When Jackson and Rowe split in 1999, having never lived together, she reportedly gave him custody of the children “as a gift”.
He dangled his third child, Prince Michael Jackson II, over a Berlin Hotel balcony in 2002, later describing the condemned move a “terrible mistake”.
Despite a number of surgeons’ claims that Jackson had undergone multiple nasal surgery as well as forehead lift, thinned lips and cheekbone surgery, Jackson wrote in his biography Moon Walk that puberty and diet caused the noticeable change in his face.

Hard to believe he’s gone! He had inspired so many people from different walks of life! Such a good talent gone just like that!

My wife and I cant believe it as well…we have always believed in Michael’s innocence and never believed such an amazing humanitarian with so much extraordinary talent, could ever harm a single soul.
We still get major goose bumps when ever we watch him perform his famous moonwalk. We all have lost a tremendously beautiful soul, in which there may never be another, at least in our life time…
God be with you we’ll meet again
